Hey, lady, you're going the wrong....Uh oh. A woman driving eastbound in the westbound carpool lane of the 118 near Simi Valley around 1:30 this afternoon collided with a motorcyclist. The bike rider was sent to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, but the elderly driver of the wrong-way car was unhurt. See kids, learning is fun! A 5th grade class at McKinley School have made a model of their home city......

It always seems that Coldwater Canyon Blvd. is flooded. Early this morning, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported an 8 inch broken main causing "severe" flooding between Ventura Blvd. and Mulholland Dr., shutting down the canyon traffic corridor. Muholland Dr. is also closed down between Coldwater Cyn. and Benedict Cyn. due to mud and debris. Then at 6:45 a.m., the most unusual and seemingly non sequitar update from the fire department came in:The flooding......

Unintentional cacophony at it's finest. The pre-taped keyboards kick in a hair faster than they're supposed to, throwing the entire song into a beautifully out of tune dissonant noisefest. What does the band do? Finish the song, of course. All 6 and a half horrible minutes of it. If this was Ashlee Simpson, you would have heard about it by now. But this is Van Fuckin' Halen!......

Earlier today we noticed that none of the Van Halen shows in LA sold out yet. In fact all but four on the whole tour appeared to have sold out, so we wrote a post and within hours the first Staples show had sold out. You're welcome. In that post we also made a joke about how Santa Barbara band Nerf Herder should be opening the show and that would help sales, no offense,......

Wait a damn minute. You people demanded that Van Halen get rid of the Red Rocker and reinstate Diamond Dave. Sure Michael Anthony had to step down so as to get replaced by Eddie's boy Wolfgang on bass - but doesn't that make for better rock? Not according to slow-as-molasses ticket sales here in the Southland where none of the four Van Halen shows at Staples or the Honda Center have sold out. [Update:......

Eddie Van Halen still sorta is the greatest guitarist alive. And maybe you don't like your rock gods to be a little looney and close to death, but we do. And if we learned one thing about David Lee Roth it's that he aint no morning man, which is fine. What he is is the only front man that Van Halen should have ever had, and we're glad that all the nonsense was able......

You’ve probably whizzed by his 17-foot image dozens of times or been stuck in traffic behind one of the many trucks that he rides on. The Little Man with the Hammer, the trademark of The Western Exterminator Company was born in 1931. The creation of telephone company artist Vaughn Kaufman, “The Little Man” has been used as the trademark for this family-run company (celebrating it’s 86th year) ever since. Eddie, Alex, and Wolfgang Van Halen are teaming up with "Diamond" David Lee Roth for a new incarnation of Pasadena's greatest export, the band announced yesterday at the Four Seasons. Wolfie is 16 and the rest of the fellas are in their 50s. On paper it's a disaster in the making, what with Eddie fresh out of rehab, Roth rebounding from his failed attempt to fill Howard Stern's shoes on NY morning radio, and......

Bad news: Al Gore was caught speeding at 100 mph in Laguna Nigel this morning at 2:15am. Good news: It wasn't the guy who invented the Internet, Al Gore, it was his son, Al Gore III. Bad news: The cops also found that he had an ounce of weed as well as some Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall. The Police aren't the only band to reunite and tour in 2007, and though their twenty-three year hiatus is the longest of the bunch, there is much more nostalgia to be had.... Rage Against The Machine, everyone's favorite rightously angry band, is reuniting to close this year's Coachella festival, which, fingers crossed, will bring about a tour. One of the best things about Van Halen reuniting is that finally the legend of Eddie Van Halen can go back to being praised. It's not like Sammy stole any thunder from Ed, he just never added to the two guitar attack that was promised. If anything, Sammy's influence only watered-down the high-flying rock gods. Sure "Right Now" and "Dreams" were acceptable songs to see your little sister singing along to, but they weren't......

We don't want to get our hopes up, and we know it's the Holiday Season, the time where miracles and dreams come true, but according to Blabbermouth.com, Eddie Van Halen has contacted David Lee Roth to have the singer rejoin the band that has totally sucked since his departure.
