So I spent my Sunday sick as a dog on the couch watching, of all things, football, literally because I was too wiped to find the clicker and move on. I'd forgotten how obnoxious the graphics were and how pompous and full of itself football has become. Still, gotta watch the Super Bowl for the commercials so I still have some time to devote to that. Am dismayed that the talentless hack Ryan Seacrest is going to be entertainment host for the Super Bowl and even more dismayed that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are the featured band - can they not find an artist from the most current decade to perform at these effing things?

Thankfully I had Tivo'd Sunday's Kenny vs. Spenny and Robot Chicken to watch last night because after the first 15 minutes of Saving Grace I couldn't take any more. Two ways to disgust yourself tonight are: Crawlspace on IFC and Primetime: Medical Mysteries, enjoy. Tonight - Wednesday - January 24th, 2007 Crawlspace...

... I was invited to share some of my vintage Rose Parade slides on KTLA’s live Rose Parade pre-show. My segment was scheduled at 6:10am. Frankly, I’m not used to getting up that early and I was worried my 1977 SEARS alarm clock that I got while still in high school, wouldn’t go off. Sure enough it didn’t. Thankfully I managed to wake up just in the nick of time. Nearly in a panic, I raced in the dark to Pasadena and found my way to “the set,” on the front lawn of the Tournament of Roses Mansion, the Former Wrigley Chewing Gum Estate. Before I knew it the segment was over and I was free to go.
