Reality TV contestant Ryan Jenkins allegedly left a suicide note on his computer, the Buena Park Police Department announced today. He never mentions the death of his wife, Jasmine Fiore, but he blamed her for the situation he was in--"professing both his love and disdain for her," according to TMZ. "About half of the letter described how much he loved her, and in the same breath, he would talk about how frustrated she made him and that he felt very jealous about some of her relationships and that frustrated him immensely,"

DJ AM's Palladium Memorial to Be Like a 12-Step Meeting

Last week the news of the death of Adam Goldstein, better known to many as DJ AM, shocked many people. Although authorities are still working to determine if his death was accidental or suicide, Goldstein apparently died of a drug overdose in his New York apartment, where drug paraphernalia was found. The 36-year-old DJ had recently finished working with Dr. Drew Pinsky on a television show about addiction, and "was said to have agreed to go back to rehab just hours before he died," according to the LAT's blog The Dish Rag.

Navy Petty Officer Accused of Murdering Gay Seaman Commits Suicide

Petty Officer Jonathan Campos of Lancaster was found dead in his military jail cell at Camp Pendleton yesterday, according to KTLA. Campos stood accused of murdering Seaman August Provost, a 29-year-old Houston native who "was shot multiple times as he stood guard at Camp Pendleton on June 30."

LAPD Detective Who Shot Herself In Sheriff's Station Was One of First Officers to Testify in Rodney King's Trial

Last night at around 9 p.m., LAPD Detective Susan Clemmer, 41, waked into the Santa Clarita sheriff's station at 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia, "placed a box of personal items on the counter," then ended her life with a single gunshot, according to the LA Weekly.

Lori Drew Verdict Thrown Out in MySpace Case

A Los Angeles federal judge tentatively threw out a jury's verdicts against a Missouri mother who used MySpace in a hoax directed towards a teenage girl who eventually killed herself. The trial about the out-of-state incident happened in Los Angeles because MySpace servers are located here. Judge H. Wu's decision will become final once it's in writing.

David Carradine Did Not Commit Suicide, Expert Says

A family hired forensics expert said today that he believed David Carradine's death was not a suicide, but the cause of death could not determined until he received more information from Thai authorities, the Associated Press reported today. Carradine was found hanging dead last week, with ropes tied around his neck, wrists and genitals, in a Bangkok hotel. Thai officials original suspected suicide, but later said it could have been accidental, too, because the way he was found indicated a possible act of auto-erotic asphyxiation. It could be a few weeks before the private forensics expert receives more information from Thailand so he can complete his report.

2nd Victim Dies in Long Beach Medical Center Shooting

A second victim has died in the triple murder-suicide that took place at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center just before noon yesterday. Kelly Hales, 56, of Redondo Beach was in grave condition and passed away six hours after the incident.

Female Bodies Found in Ocean off Redondo, Huntington Beaches

This morning a boat load of whale watchers discovered a woman's body a a quarter-mile off Redondo Beach. 39-year-old Cindy Denq's death is being investigated as a possible suicide. Once a passenger on a previous boat ride, Denq had jumped off the boat, but was pulled back onto the ship after the skipper stopped and had her pulled back on board. Today, police say it appears that she entered the water from the beach. Earlier this morning, another woman's dead body was found in the ocean, this time in Huntington Beach. Orange County deputies were called to a bar in Sunset Beach where a woman was reportedly bleeding profusely. Upon arrival, police only found a trail of blood leading to the water where she was found floating. "We're not sure what happened," a deputy told the AP. "All we know is something started here at the bar. We're not sure if this is a crime scene or an accident at this point, but we're treating it as a crime scene until we know further."

      

From 8 a.m. to around 3:15 p.m. yesterday, an unidentified nude twentysomething man, reported to be suicidal, sat 50 feet in the air atop the cross at West Bethel Presbyterian Church on La Brea Ave. between Wilshire and Olympic. He finally came down after a seven hour confrontation with the fire and police departments (including SWAT), who had placed an air cushion on the ground in case he fell and a ladder for him to climb down on, which he used.

Man Commits Suicide At Crystal Cathedral Altar This Morning

A representative from the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove has confirmed that a man in his 40s committed suicide inside the church this morning. The victim reportedly "shot himself in the head this morning at the altar," according to the Daily News. The church rep says the "unidentified man walked up three steps to the altar area, knelt before a gold cross and put the gun to his head." The man was not immediately familiar to anyone affiliated with the church. Some reports indicate he "handed a cathedral tour guide an envelope containing a note and his driver's license and mentioned that his vehicle was parked outside." This is the third suicide at the church, but the first at the altar. Rev. Robert Schuller, the Cathedral's founder, is currently in Hawaii and is taking some time off from his church duties.

Car Chase Suspect Owned a Luxury Rental Business in Chicago

The man behind the wheels of last night's car chase is unofficially identified as Mustafa "Moe" Mustafa. His name has not been released by authorities but family members and police sources told the LA Times his identity. After shooting himself when SWAT team members surrounded the car, he was transported in very critical condition to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Last night's car chase began shortly before 8 p.m. and was widely suspected to be Chris Brown and then DJ Khaled. The LAPD continued to say throughout the incident the suspect was not a high profile person.

Man Angry at Wife Sets Home on Fire and Dies

A 64-year-old Valley man who got into an argument with his wife last night died after he set fire to the house. The LAPD was called to 18907 W. Knapp St. in Northridge around 9 p.m. where the woman said her husband was threatening to hurt her. She exited the house safely while the man remained inside. Soon after, flames erupted from a bedroom and quickly spread to the attic as the fire department was called. The man was later found dead in the bedroom. His death may have been suicide, but police cannot confirm that yet.

Mom & Dad May Have Pre-Planned the Wilmington Murder-Suicide

More details have come out regarding the fax the now-identified Ervin Antonio Lupoe allegedly sent before killing his family and committing suicide. "The letter faxed to KABC indicated, for example, that there was agreement between husband and wife that killing the family was the best course of action, suggesting the possibility that both adults planned the slayings in advance," the LA Times reported.

Man Contacted ABC7 Before Killing Family and Himself, Cited Work Problems

ABC7 this morning received a telephone call and a fax from the a man saying he was going to kill his family and himself. The news station in turn called police who later found seven people--five children under the age of ten, the mother and the suspected shooter, the father.

5 to 7 People Dead in Possible Murder-Suicide in Wilmington

At 8:25 a.m. this morning, LAPD Harbor Division officers responded to a shooting call on the 1000 block of McFarland Ave. in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Wilmington. "At this point, it is looking like a possible murder-suicide," explained Officer Ana Aguirre to LAist over the phone. "There's anywhere from five to seven family members that were discovered in the home."

Dad Shoots 4-Year-Old Son in Apparent Murder-Suicide

27-year-old Sharome Frazier's son is still alive on life-support at UCLA-Harbor Hospital after apparently shooting him early this morning in Inglewood. Frazier died of what looks like a self-inflicted wound after police were called to his house for what appeared to be an attempted suicide, but a motive is still unclear at this point. Dressed in a Santa Suit, the distraught man entered the Covina home of his ex-wife's family and went on a shooting rampage, then torched the home. Following what has become known as the "Santa Massacre" Pardo went to his brother's home and committed suicide.

Earlier suspicions that a ninth body could be inside the scene of a mass murder in Covina has been confirmed, the Chicago Tribune confirms. A man dressed as Santa Claus walked into his ex-in-laws home on Christmas Eve and began shooting before lighting the place on fire. He was later found dead after he apparently committed suicide at his brother's home in the Sylmar neighborhood of Los Angeles. UPDATE: Now the coroner's office is saying they will not confirm the ninth body. A 2 p.m. press conference is expected to update the press on what's going on.

Police believe that the deadly shooting this morning at a Palm Desert Toys R' Us was not Black Friday related.
