A fire in Silver Lake damaged the inside of craftsmen home next to a church just off Sunset Blvd. early this afternoon. Shortly before 1:40 p.m., an employee at The Living Room, a furniture store across the street from the house, called 911 to report the fire. Isaac Hayes was scheduled to headline at the Sunset Junction Music Festival before his death this past Sunday in Tennessee. Tonight, the festival announced that friend of Hayes and a legendary soul man himself, Sam Moore, will play during the Saturday night slot. We were finally able to try out the Medicina Latina ($13) at Malo's during the LAist foodie meetup earlier this week and it is awesome.
