The TV Junkie was at the SAG Awards on Sunday. Here are all the still pics we took of the event at the Shrine Auditorium, broadcast on TBS. Many thanks to the SAG Awards and to TBS for inviting us.

At nearly 3am last night, WGA members received an email announcing that "we have a tentative deal." I'm told that the language of the deal could have been done earlier, but that the AMPTP attempted some last minute shenanigans - most reprehensible in the fact that it made me use the word "shenanigans."

With a major project concluded, I'm back to regular writing. Hockey is back, too. You can watch a free game downtown tonight. Angels 10, Devil Rays 7 - The last time the Halos played small ball this well, they won a World Series. They could be headed back, with their magic number down to five. The Angels piled up double digits against the Devils without a home run on Monday, the 11th time they've reached...

Miss Japan's final question was clearly lost in translation as she was asked what moment in history would she change if she could and answered about how men and women are different because men use their power incorrectly.
The Prime Time Emmy Award nominations were announced today and yes, LAist was left out again this year. We keep waiting for the opportunity to use that old yet tried and true saying "its just a pleasure to be nominated" but we never seem to get the chance.
Don't be alarmed if women are walking around downtown with tiaras and sashes over the next few weeks. They're probably with the 55th Annual Miss Universe pageant, which is making the Wilshire Grand downtown its official headquarters until the contest airs from the Shrine Auditorium on July 23. (Does anyone still watch this stuff anyway?)
The Purple One, aka The Artist Formerly Known As The Artist Formerly Known As, has been performing "after-shows" for years. However this time, while in support of his latest jam, 3121, he's been organizing the scorching late-night shows through his official website so as to stoke the "real" fans.
In a city with such a large Latino audience, LAist is surprised at the lack of coverage of the 6th Annual Latin Grammys. Perhaps the awards are still ahead of the curve. After being aired on CBS for several years (and garnering low ratings) this year the Latin Grammys moved to Univision, the leading domestic Spanish-speaking language network. The awards were broadcast in Spanish for the first time, which makes perfect sense to us--and perhaps explains why they failed on CBS.
We’re pulling for Hugh Laurie, the Droopy Dog-esque star of FOX-TV’s House, during tonight’s Emmy Awards (from the Shrine Auditorium downtown) as best actor in a drama. His role as pain-pill popper Dr. Gregory House is a heartbreaking study of pathos. As the brilliant "leader" of a crack team of physicians who take on the medical cases no one else can solve, Laurie’s character borders on being antisocial; but the hospital he works for can’t get rid of him because, well, he’s that good.
note: we posted and pulled this article because the original material is from a satire site. We still haven't decided whether we're sadder that we couldn't tell it was a satire or that we wouldn't have been surprised if Pat Robertson had actually said it. In this case, though...he didn't.
If you're an Angeleno brave enough to venture outside in the cold tomorrow, there are good times to be had.
Can you imagine if the host of the Grammys used his monologue to gripe about the popularity of rap music and how it was crowding the kind of music liked off the charts? Or what if the host of the Oscars blurted out, "You know what? Sound effects editing is for hacks!" Well, what Garry Shandling did to reality television as the host of the Emmys last night was no different.
