The Big Diesel, err, Eth: Shaq invests in SoCal Ethanol Gas Company

The Microfueler from GreenHouse is an in-home organic fuel microrefinery that allows you fill up any car that can take regular gas. Forget Christmas, Shaq is Playing in LA this Weekend

If you see Shaquille O'Neal walking on a local beach wearing a pink Speedo three sizes too small, it wouldn't mean you're hallucinating. It would mean Shaq and teammate Phil Dalhausser lost a volleyball match to Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh. The two-mile Speedo walk is added incentive for the Cleveland Cav's new center (at 7'1", he's almost as tall as the net) to win Sunday in the sand. The event is part of a new series on ABC called "Shaq VS," which debuts on August 18.

Meet Jason Smith: ESPN Radio's All Nighter

Late night radio isn't typically where you'll find an energetic sportstalker -- much less one who would easily reference Brett Favre's retirement to the ‘80s movie “Can’t Buy Me Love.” ESPN radio host Jason Smith does that five nights a week (Sunday through Thursday.) Heard locally on 710AM, from 10:00 at night to 2:00, All Night with Jason Smith is high quality radio at an hour where most station's broadcast as though their audience is half-dead.

On Wednesday, the city of Seattle found out that their SuperSonics would be packing their bags and leaving for Oklahoma City. Thanks to owner Clay Bennett, in 2008-09 there will be no pro basketball in Seattle for the first time in 41 years. "He drained the Sonics' joy out of Seattle," said Seattle Times' columnist Jerry Brewer of Bennett.

I first heard about Shaquille O'Neal in middle school. Back then, he was more of a playground rumor than a superstar. The first kid to learn about him tried to tell the rest of us.

The game began with Pau controlling the tip, hitting it forward to Radmonovic who scored on a quick pull up jumper. My friend Ara turned to me and said, "He controlled it by tipping it forward and not backwards. Thats symbolic, thats deep." Ara is a philosophy major with a beard that screams wisdom, so I couldn't help but agree- As tonights game showed, I think Pau is a piece that puts us over the top.

Even with LeBron leading his Cavs to much needed victory in the Eastern Conference Finals Tuesday night, the biggest story in the NBA is a team who has not played a game in exactly four weeks. The Lakers offseason has just been too wildly entertaining to take a backseat to the actual action on the court. And it just got better. Early Tuesday, team owner Jerry Buss was arrested in Carlsbad for suspicion of drunk...

Like rewatching “The Year Without a Santa Claus” or drinking eggnog, ABC has decided that the Lakers playing the Miami Heat is a holiday tradition. That’s seriously how they’ve been promoting today’s Christmas Day match up (11:30 on ABC 7) for the past couple of weeks — “a game that has become a holiday tradition.” What this match up really seems is sad — more than three years after Shaquille O’Neal left the Los Angeles...
