Saturday's Galaxy match versus New York Red Bulls was the beginning of what will arguably be the toughest part of their schedule this season. The blue-and-gold have embarked on their longest road trip of the year and will not play in the friendly confines of the Home Depot Center until August 21 when the Chicago Fire pay a visit. The timing could not be any worse for the Galaxy. Notoriously bad on the road, the team has also failed to win in over a month and slipped to second place in the conference standings with 2 conference rivals nipping at their heels. They will need to find a way to win on the road or else they might find themselves doing some last minute scrambling to desperately try to make the playoffs.
