Tonight Grammy Award-nominated Brazilian singer Bebel Gilberto will be sharing the stage at the Hollywood Bowl with none other than Brazilian singer-songwriter Seu George. Local retro 60s soul act Fitz and the Tantrums are poised to grace the Greek Theatre. And, lastly, Dhani Harrison's thenewno2, among many other prominent acts, will be performing at the Sunset Strip Music Festival. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Troubadour to catch Raconteurs guitarist, Michigan-bred singer-songwriter Brendan Benson.

In addition to our My Morning Jacket contest (which ends Friday), we are giving away a pair of tickets to The Raconteurs' concert on Tuesday, September 23 at The Greek Theatre (tickets). The band also plays on Monday, September 22 (tickets). This concert tour is in support of their "Consolers Of The Lonely" album.

          

Finally, after all the hubub and debate of the quality of this year's Coachella lineup, the festival got underway Friday afternoon. Featuring Jack Johnson at the top of the bill, the day featured outstanding performances from the Raconteurs who proved that they aren't just Jack White's side project but rather a band that is developing their own sound and identity. The Verve, playing for the first time in nearly a decade sounded like they hadn't even missed a step. The day also featured standout performances from indie darlings Vampire Weekend as well as Tegan and Sara among others.
