Philadelphia 76ers defeat LA Lakers 94-93. With a foul to give the Lakers let Andre Iguodala get off a three pointer at the end of the game to burn them. Mind you this is after Kobe drained a jumper for the lead with six seconds left. The Lakers had led by as many as 14 points early in the fourth quarter but let it slip away with very sloppy play. After their last game Phil Jackson commented on the Laker's lack of a killer instinct. If this game wasn't evidence of that...As Stu Lantz said at the end of the FSWest broadcast there was a lot of green in the building. What the hell is wrong with you Lakers fans? How the hell do you think it's remotely appropriate to wear green in the Staples Center? Dumbasses.

LA Lakers defeat Philadelphia 76ers 114-102. This time there was no last second put back. Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol made sure of that scoring all of the Lakers points in the last five minutes of the game. Bryant scored 32 points and Gasol got 22 as they staved off a come back from the 76ers. Former Clipper Elton Brand had an awful shooting game scoring only three points. He was so awful 76ers coach Mo Cheeks sat him down for the fourth quarter. The bright spot for the 76ers was Andre Miller who always seems to play his best game against the Lakers. He led the 76ers with 26 points.
The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of an isolated system not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time until the system reaches equilibrium. In layman’s terms, everything tends towards chaos.
Atlanta Braves defeat LA Dodgers 9-3. Yeah Chad Billingsley was pitching a no-no. For four innings. Then the wheels came off in the fifth inning with a three-run double by Gregor Blanco. Billingsley went 5 1/3 innings giving up six runs, five earned on six hits and four walks. For the Braves, Jair Jurrjens brought his record to 9-4 going six innings giving up one run on five hits. Perhaps the telling moment of the night was the very last at-bat for the Dodgers. Matt Kemp came up with two men on and struck out giving him the golden sombrero for the night (four strikeouts).
Nothing is confirmed, but rumor has it the Philadelphia 76ers have come to an agreement with Elton Brand. Brand, who opted out of his contract with the Clippers, had previously said he would re-sign with the Clippers if they got a big name. UPDATE: LA Times is reporting a verbal deal is done.
