Dodgers Thrown for a Looper

With all the anticipation from Tuesday night’s theatrics on the minds of the 50,276 fans at the Stadium, all they got was a lousy baseball game. “That’s what I expected,” Torre said of the lack of drama. “I was hoping the result would be different, but as far as any repercussions from last night I didn’t expect anything.” The result was a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers. After an initial hiccup to start the game, Brewers starter Braden Looper confounded Dodger bats.

The Bean Ball Incident, Day After

While watching an ESPNews segment in the clubhouse about Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder’s attempt to have a meet-and-greet in the Dodger’s clubhouse, Dodgers reliever Guillermo Mota laughed.

Prince Fielder's Trek

After thinking about the events that transpired just after the final out was recorded in the Dodgers 17-4 rout of the Milwaukee Brewers, it amazed me how Prince Fielder and his teammates were able to get to the Dodger clubhouse doors.

Dodgers Blow Out Milwaukee, Fielder Blows Up

After scuffling for more than a week, the Dodgers needed a game like this. Having forgone batting practice they proceeded to crush the Milwaukee Brewers 17-4 despite getting only seven more hits. The 17 runs would mark the most runs the Dodgers have scored at home since May 25, 1979 when they scored 17 against the Cincinnati Reds.

Dodgers-Brewers LiveBlog: First Weekday Edition

To say this is scary times for Dodger fans is an understatement. Although the Dodgers maintain the best record in the Majors at 65-41 they have lost seven of their last 11 games and have seen their lead in the NL West shrink from nine games to 6 1/2 games. Fans are starting to hyperventilate.

LAst Night's Action: Dodger Come Back Falls a Little Short

Milwaukee Brewers defeat LA Dodgers 6-5. Coming off of some rather remarkable starts, Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw lost his form. Actually he got through the first three innings without giving up a hit, but in the fourth inning he walked in two runs with the bases loaded to give the Dodgers the lead for good. In the sixth inning with Jeff Weaver pitching Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun put the game away with an Earl Weaver shot to left center. Brewers starter Manny Parra pitched his longest outing of the season - eight innings - giving up two runs on six hits and a walk. But the ninth inning came and he gave up a single and double to Casey Blake and Matt Kemp. Longtime Dodger foil Trevor Hoffman came in to save the game but promptly gave up a double to James Loney to score Blake and Kemp. Orlando Hudson would single to right sending Loney home. The Dodgers would load the bases with Manny Ramirez at bat. Manny flew to right ending the game and the come back.

LA Lakers defeat Utah Jazz 111-104. Kobe Bryant, sore back and all, and the Lakers held off the Jazz to win game five of the series. The fourth quarter started with an 81-81 tie and something happened that didn't happen in overtime in game four: Kobe Bryant attempted no shots. Instead he relied on his other four teammates to make the open shots. The best one came 21 seconds left in the game with the Lakers leading 105-102. Sasha Vujacic missed a three pointer and Pau Gasol came up with the offensive rebound and smashes it into the bucket. The Lakers lead the series 3-2 and will play Friday night at Utah.

Milwaukee Brewers defeat LA Dodgers 5-3. The Dodgers have worse skid marks than one of my exes. With a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning, Dodger's starter Brad Penny gave up a two-run double to last season's NL Rookie of the Year and local boy Ryan Braun. Closer Eric Gagne came in the ninth inning for the save and gave up a single and a walk. Juan Pierre, representing the tying run, pops out to end the game. The Dodgers have now lost five games and just don't look the same with Rafael Furcal on the DL.

So Barry Bonds hit his big dinger last night, and we hate him for it. But we're allowed to, we live in LA. The Commissioner of Baseball, however, is not allowed to hate Barry Bonds. At least not publicly. Why? Because the Commish is supposed to be fair and without allegiance. All he is supposed to care about is Baseball's Best Interest. But clearly Bud Selig only has one interest: money. The former used...

Which team has the best record in the National League? Two teams share this distinction: the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

On a day of magnificent feats when Detroit Tiger’s 24-year old pitcher Justin Verlander pitched a no-hitter against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Dodgers managed to top that. They exploded with three consecutive homers on three consecutive pitches against the New York Mets in the second inning. Don’t get me wrong. Verlander’s no-no was absolutely amazing. In the ninth inning, he was still pitching strikes at 102 mph. And given the blustery conditions at Comerica...

With the Dodgers playing a rather boring series at the Washington Nationals, it’s time to take care of some housecleaning. All Star Voting Yesterday, Major League Baseball released the preliminary results of the first period of fan voting for the All Star Game. The fan votes will determine which position players start the game. According to the results, My Boyfriend is running a distant fourth to the fiery whoring gambler Paul Lo Duca (former...

That’s not attractive." - The Sun Online - Girls Gone Wild asswipe founder pleads no contest to feeling up an 18-year old at a January party in Hollywood. Could get six months - CBS2 - While in town to play the Dodgers, four Milwaukee Brewers players taped an episode of the Young and the...

Roughly one month into the season, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are within 2 games of the best record in Major League Baseball. What team began play today with the best record? Why the Milwaukee Brewers, of course. Led by young hitting stars Prince (Don't Call me Cecil) Fielder, Bill Hall (of Fame), Corey (Never Surrender) Hart, and Rickie (insert cheesy nickname here) Weeks, the Brewers have belted more home runs than all but two major league teams. Matched with an unhittable bullpen and a . . . well . . . and a serviceable starting rotation, the Brew Crew is suddenly the team to beat in the National League.

Can someone please tell Dodger’s head athletic trainer Stan Conte to make sure Prozac takes his meds before he pitches?
