Tonight, as always, local multi-instrumentalist/producer extraordinaire Jon Brion (LAist Interview, #2, Review) will be jamming with friends at the Largo at the Coronet. Maine-bred folk singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne is taking on a three-night stint at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown with LAist favorite, Rock Island-based alternative country singer-songwriter Lissie. And, lastly, Austin/Brooklyn-bred electro pop duo Neon Indian will be gracing the Echoplex with none other than Northampton's own electro-infused indie rock act Tigercity. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Bootleg Theater to catch San Diegan rockers Delta Spirit (LAist Interview), who will be performing as a part of When You Awake's Neil Young Tribute. LAist favorites, Jason Simon of psych rock outfit Dead Meadow, indie pop outfit the Parson Red Heads (LAist Review, #2, #3), alt-country songstress Leslie Stevens of Leslie and the Badgers, folk troubadour Ferraby Lionheart (LAist Interview, Review) and many other talented local artists will be chiming in to celebrate the music of Neil Young, of course, but also to support the Children’s Music Fund.

                     

Local singer-songwriter Angela Correa's band Correatown has held this month's Monday residency at The Echo, and tonight is their final show before embarking next month on a European tour. Tonight New Zealand-bred electro pop singer-songwriter Ladyhawke is poised to grace the Avalon with Seattle's own electro pop sensation Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. NY/LA-based folk troubadours Elvis Perkins in Dearland (LAist Interview) are poised to headline the Troubadour with North Dakota-based singer-songwriter Tom Brosseau and Echo Park-bred folk pop act Correatown in tow. And, lastly, local indie rockers You Me & Iowa will be gracing Spaceland with Radars to the Sky. But we strongly suggest heading over to Eagle Rock to catch forty some-odd—including No Age (LAist Review, #2), The Happy Hollows, Peanut Butter Wolf, Nico Stai, The French Semester, Amateurs, Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, Blank Blue, Pocahaunted, Bobb Bruno, The Gaslamp Killer, Julia Holter, Jail Weddings, Free Moral Agents, Fol Chen (Canceled!) and Leslie and the Badgers, among many, many others. Head on over to the Verdugo Bar in neighboring Glassell Park for one of many promising after-parties!

Tonight Portland's own experimental rock sextet Blitzen Trapper (LAist Interview) will be headlining the El Rey Theatre with none other than Baltimore-bred folk rock duo Wye Oak (LAist Interview) in tow. English psych-pop singer-songwriter Pop Levi (LAist Review) is poised to take on the Roxy with local experimental rock duo El Ten Eleven. And, lastly, LA-based alt-country troubadour Leslie and the Badgers will be closing out their residency at the Echo with local lo-fi pop act Best Coast. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch the final night of local indie rock outfit Saint Motel's (LAist Interview) month-long residency. LAist favorites, Burbank-based experimental psych folk outfit Gangi (LAist Review) and Silver Lake-based indie rockers Links are slated to perform as well.

The unnecessarily abrasive Buddyhead-backed rock act known as the Icarus Line are poised to take on the Silver Lake Lounge. And, lastly, alt-country troubadour Leslie and the Badgers will be performing at the Echo. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Henry Fonda Music Box to catch French "freak folk" outfit CocoRosie.

The unnecessarily abrasive Buddyhead-backed rock act known as the Icarus Line is poised to take on the Silver Lake Lounge. Local folk singer-songwriter Frank Fairfield will be performing at the Redwood Bar & Grill in Downtown. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echo to catch alt-country troubadour Leslie and the Badgers. LAist favorites Olin & the Moon (LAist Interview) are slated to kick things off.

Tonight legendary English blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Eric Clapton will be performing at Hollywood Bowl with Steve Winwood. Brooklyn-based buzz band Amazing Baby are poised to stop by Origami Vinyl early on in the evening. And, lastly, local country troubadours Leslie and the Badgers will be headlining Spaceland with none other than the Chapin Sisters and Olin and the Moon (LAist Interview) in tow. But we strongly suggest heading over to Echo Curio, which we rarely do, to catch Best Coast, an LA-based pop project of Bethany Consentino of Pocahaunted along with Bobb Bruno. NY-based folk rockers Soft Black are slated to kick things off.
