I remember the Thai teens best; they were all sweet kids, and it's in their honor that I recommend the Thai Film Miracles Festival at the Arclight. Well, them and Tony Jaa, who steps behind the camera between bouts for the sequel to his muay-thai masterpiece Ong-Bak. For those with tastes running more regal, Princess Ubolratana makes her dramatic debut in Where The Miracle Happens, and the oldest surviving Thai film, The King Of The White Elephant, makes a rare theatrical appearance. A Word Or 78: Last night I didn't watch anything that I had listed or even Tivoed. I ended up watching "Monster In a Box" on IFC because I had the privelege of seeing Spalding Gray a couple times and there he was again on TV. Wile watching the movie I found it extraordinarily sad to both hear this amazing person talk about his mother's suicide as well as allude to committing suicide himself....

Last night was the premiere of Shark on CBS. It takes place in Los Angeles. Problem: The Mayor doesn't have secret service looking agents. He has LAPD when on the job. Question: Why does the Mayor look like Los Angeles city councilman Tony Cardenas (played by Carlos Gómez)?
