As the sun sets and dusk prevails over the city tomorrow night, Nissan will be unveiling their new fully electric car (not a hybrid) in Los Angeles and other West Coast cities. It won't be an event, but rather something more guerilla as a team crosses town from Santa Monica to West Hollywood, Hollywood to downtown with a projector strong enough to show images for fifteen minutes on the sides of buildings (think temporary billboards of sorts, which could be illegal, too, with our current signage controversy).

Definitely one of the hottest energy-efficient green cars around, the fully electric Tesla Roadster can travel over 200 miles on a single battery charge and can go from 0 to 60 mph in a short 3.9 seconds. Lucky for Los Angeles, it gets Tesla Motor's first location for a dealership.

• 45-year-old murder suspect Hovik "John" Mankyan, who engaged police in a lengthy standoff on Good Friday in Palmdale, is reportedly "clinging to life" in the hospital. Mankyan, who is wanted for a 2004 North Hollywood homicide "ingested poison and severed arteries" prior to surrendering.
