There's a mini story brewing through the internet and LA sports talk radio. Someone named Eric Pincus of HoopsWorld.com is reporting that the Lakers are close to acquiring Kevin Garnett in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Pincus offers no specifics as to who Minnesota would receive in return. Nor does he give any explanation has to why the T-Wolves would give up Garnett, let alone send him to the Lakers of all teams.......

It's been reported that the Lakers are interested in acquiring Kwame Brown from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Caron Butler, another player, and possibly a draft pick. Say what? LAist has trouble believing this is for real. We have no problems with the Lakers trading Caron Butler.
