Cool, Crafy, Community Event: Unique LA's Holiday Show

Forget this week's corporate bonanza shopping blitz known as "Black Friday." Show your support for local artists and crafters by shopping at Unique Los Angeles, an occasional showcase of local talent that you'll want to buy for the loved ones on your holiday gift lists. The 2nd Annual Unique Los Angeles Holiday show is the largest independent design show on the West Coast, where you can shop from over 300 designers and artists.

                            

Last Sunday the mild weather of Santa Monica made for a pleasant evening in the courtyard of The Fairmont Hotel where Angeleno Magazine celebrated their annual restaurant issue. Many of L.A.’s top chefs were on hand to serve up delicious bites to Benefit Children’s Institute. Double gold award-winning wines and spirits from the San Francisco International Wine and World Spirits Competitions were also served.

To wit: the latest message in our inbox, regarding a fantastic new deal at one of the city's most expensive restaurants. Craft LA, brainchild of Top Chef's Tom Colicchio, has just unveiled a downright economical new menu featuring small plates, with nothing over $9.

On April 2nd 2005 at 11:00 am a witness contacted various UFO groups to report several strange objects over Hollywood. The first unidentified flying object was a geometrical black orb hovering in the sky days previous, the following day, a Sunday, the witness returned to the area and viewed another black sphere and then for several consecutive days noticed several white and black objects often firing strange laser-like lights from their under-carriage, whilst also performing spiral manouvres in the sky.
