From Cardboard to LCD TV Screens: iPhone Halloween Costumes

Out in Granada Hills, 11-year-old Japhy Frolick rocked this iPhone costume, catching the attention of many in his neighborhood. His dad says three hours before trick-or-treating, he had no idea what he wanted to "be." Nice last minute idea! And below, a couple of Florida guys went all out and actually created life-size iPhone costumes with 42-ince LCD video screens that show what the costume wearer is doing on his phone. A video is below.

Here are some of the cute dogs LAist photographer Tom Andrews saw...

It was Friday night, it had been a long work week and happy hour was over. What next? We found Halloween Horror at Universal Studios to be an excellent choice--a blast as you can see from the ghoulish photos. There's only have six more nights to get in on the action if you want to see it. It's well worth the price of admission, which you can even get cheap tickets still at Vons or Pavilions with a coke can discount. The event runs from October 24-26, 30-31, November 1.

When plain old ski masks just won't do, what's a neighborhood robber to do?

Regina Spektor is playing the Grove in Anaheim on Halloween night, and because LAist loves you so so so much, we are going to give away a pair of tickets to one lucky lucky reader. What do you have to do to get the tix? Just leave us a...

We never thought it would come to this, but it seems we have a genuine case of Halloween costume ennui. It just seems so wrong. Halloween is the gayest, sluttiest holiday of all, and here we are in one of the gayest, sluttiest cities in America, and we just can't... get it up to think of a good Halloween costume this year. We try to probe our impacted pop culture memories of the recent...
