Crazy Gideon's crazy videos were always fun to watch with his yelling and the throwing of electronics around his downtown warehouse (never seen them? watch a collection below, they're great). But the times have changed and Gideon Kotzer has installed a "Going out of Business" sign on his Arts District-located warehouse, which he plans to convert into housing. The first ad for opponents of Prop 8 was calm and cool--it had this sense of peace about it. But after proponents of eliminating gay marriage launched their first and second ads touting alleged facts, opponents got together and made a second and more direct ad that was launched today. Buzz phrases used are "scare tactics," "that's a lie," and the best, a good one for Republicans--"keep government out of all our lives."
How 'bout the end of that Super Bowl? Good thing Eli Manning came through because the ads really weren't all that, save for the near death of Richard Simmons (with Alice Cooper behind the wheel). But at $2.7 million per 30 seconds, who are we to not expect more?
