Right around Labor Day we interviewed KCRW dj Jason Bentley about the 30th anniversary of Morning Becomes Eclectic. Today he provides us with his top ten albums of 2007, and you Radiohead fans will be glad to see that he adds them to his list just like most of his cohorts did. Interestingly when Mathieu Schreyner left Radiohead off his list, not only was he not criticized, but he received many more positive comments......

It should be quite apparent by now that electronic music has officially made a comeback in LA in the past couple years, if not more recently than that. While supergroups such as Daft Punk and the Chemical Brothers have maintained a steady stronghold on the genre since their inception, it would be easy to argue that electronic music never left. However, being an electronic music fan in Los Angeles seems to be slightly different......

I met up with the Hacienda Prints Collective at the opening night of the Chemical Brothers tour at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. There they were, a trio of guys from LA at an incredible event in NYC, doing live screening of t-shirts commemorating the night. Not only were they doing t-shirts, they were also taking lots of pics (see to the left) as well as documenting the tour on video. They were on......

Autumn is upon us and here in LA we are harvesting art, music, and mayhem. For whatever reason, it seems that this is the busiest festival weekend of the year, with something for all ages, in all corners of LA, and all times of day and night. If ever there was a weekend to clone yourself and be everywhere at once, this would be it. Jump right in. Swerve Festival: This looks to be......

LAist had a chance to see the Chemical Brothers at the debut of their US tour at the sold-out Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC last night. It's their first headlining appearance in the US in over 5 years and they brought it, full on. They will be headlining the Nocturnal Festival a week from today and there's plenty of other folks to see there as well, but really, the Brothers alone justify attendance. Here's a photo......

I have been loving this song since I heard it a couple of months ago, and here is the video. Maybe I am just a sucker for talking animals. It's a new Chemical Brothers track featuring Fatlip from Pharcyde and his friend, Sammy the Salmon. What it DO? Enjoy! ©......

E3 has once again left the City of Angels, leaving in it's wake a trail of litter advertising the newest, hottest games, tons of Starbucks cups, the swag no one wanted, and booth babes sporting a bit more money in their wallets. Everyone that exhibited during the week of videogames is still probably recuperating, we can only imagine. Best thing overheard at E3 this year? "Man, this is where nerdy girls get laid." Our......
