Monday night the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles celebrated the launch of their 30th anniversary season. As they put it, "thirty is the new twenty!" According to the website, the much-lauded GMC has toured both nationally and internationally, released thirteen compact discs, and appeared frequently on national television. It is with great sadness that LAist notes the passing of comedy legend Harvey Korman who died today at the UCLA Medical Center. He was 81 years old. Korman died of complications from an abdominal aortic aneurysm that ruptured four months ago. As someone who grew up during the 1970s, weekends culminated in viewing the "Carol Burnett Show". I've spent a handful of Friday evenings in the Real Time with Bill Maher studio audience and it's a blast. But last night at Studio 33 on the CBS lot (of Price is Right and Carol Burnett fame) was a really weird one.
