The city of Ventura has been taken off the map. Specifically, the Greyhound Bus Line service map. This week the company shut down the station in Ventura, and wiped it off their route, to the surprise of many who had been hoping to hop a bus out of town. So is busing it a relic of a bygone era? What Oscar Says... Here are the street and sidewalk closures according to them: Friday, Sautrday, Sunday, Monday. City Streets (According to the City) The City of Los Angeles will strictly enforce the parking restrictions and will cite and/or impound vehicles parked on streets at times shown (complete list after the jump). Hollywood Boulevard has been closed between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive since Monday for the construction of press risers, fan bleachers, and pre-show......

There's all this excitement about the building a new Universal City. Condos, jobs, economy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's all good stuff. But there's the logistical part, and that's transportation. Pedestrian Friendly? Check Red Line Subway? Check. Rapid 750 Bus Line? Check. 101/134/170? Check. Nearby Airport? Check. Bicycle Path? Uhhhhh... Did we forget something yesterday? Yes, we did. The LA River runs right along the property, yet there was no mention of the LA River Trail.......
