Today's 4:20 video is in memory of Arthur Lee who passed away yesterday. Here the Dorsey High alumn plays with his long-time backing band, Baby Lemonade, who for all intents and purposes were Love mach-two. This is from a concert they performed in London in 2003 which showed how strong his vocals were and how well the music stands up.......

Psychedelic rock legend Arthur Lee, founder of the classic '60s band Love, died late yesterday afternoon after battling lymphoblastic leukemia, his manager Mark Linn said yesterday in an email to friends and the press. His death comes as a shock to me because Arthur had the uncanny ability......

Any apprehension about seeing the Raconteurs at the Fonda last night disappeared when they took the stage. On the album, each song sounds like a different band trying on a new style. But in person, they're tight, unified and rock nice and hard and loud (are your ears still ringing a little too?). On tour the band (Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler) is supplemented with a fifth member who mostly......

20 musicians. One composer. 4 months to create, a year to rehearse, and one night of performance. Friday November 18, WACO will premiere Steve Gregoropoulos' Symphony #1. What does Steve have in common with (pictured) Beethoven? Well, they both write symphonies, they both have wild hair, and, um, they both write symphonies. Actually, Steve has only written one so far (hence the name, Symphony #1) but he tells LAist "Now I guess I gotta......

Tonight at Spaceland is the second and final performance by Love with Arthur Lee, performing Da Capo in its entirety. To add even more allure to the evening, Imaad Wasif of Alaska! will be opening. Doors are at 9:00......

Tuesday usually isn't much for events, but today brings us plenty to do. Music legends abound this evening, along with some interesting film. LAist is certainly glad Tuesday has picked it up a bit and we hope you are, too. At Spaceland, see pop legends Love with Arthur Lee performing Forever Changes from beginning to end. There are not many chances to see Arthur Lee perform live, so LAist recommends making it to this......
