Proposition 85 requires abortion doctors to notify the parents of a minor 48 hours before the proceedure. If a young woman is getting knocked up and doesn't feel comfortable telling her parents that she's about to have an abortion, then LAist believes that probably wouldn't have been the best family situation for a little kid anyway.
