Forget "Cash for Clunkers"--a 56-year-old man skipped the middlemen and gave his cash to commuters yesterday afternoon when he "tossed money from his car on Interstate 210 in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendora shortly before noon Sunday," according to Yahoo! News.

Traffic snarled in the San Gabriel Valley for at least 10 miles after a big rig tanker truck early this morning filpped over blocking all lanes of the eastbound 210 Freeway. The truck is carrying 50,000 pounds of liquid asphalt material and some of it has spilled out, said California Highway Patrol Office Francisco Villalobos over the phone. A small amount of diesel fuel also leaked.

To accommodate filming of the feature film The Hangover, "a three-mile section of the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway, east of the Interstate 15 interchange, is closed during daylight hours Saturday and Sunday," reports abc7.com. A crash between a vehicle and a semi this morning on the eastbound 210 Freeway has left one man dead at the scene, reports the Los Angeles Fire Department. It happened at around 8:00 a.m. when the vehicle somehow ended up under the semi near Lowell Steet. A SigAlert has been issued. Yesterday, four people died in a single-car accident on the 10 Freeway.
