Film Trailer Review: The Last Kiss

I have only seen the trailer, but The Last Kiss is yet another movie about a boring 30-year-old white guy (Zach Braff in the role he was born to play) who on the eve of his marriage to a hot chick sees an even hotter chick, which precipitates a quarter-life crisis that leads to lots of anguished looks, difficult decisions and crying in the rain.
Again, I haven't seen The Last Kiss but here are my general thoughts about "life affirming" movies like this appears to be. Taking a road trip doesn't make you a less conventional and more interesting person. Having an affair doesn't make you a less conventional and more interesting person. Running around naked in the desert doing drugs at Burning Man doesn't make you a less conventional and more interesting person. Being original makes you a less conventional and more interesting person. Make a movie about that.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

thank you for saying what needs to be said.

What about being a Scientologist hack who looks like a turtle and has two too many Oscars? Does that make you a less conventional and more interesting person?

You can't make a movie about being original; it's been done.

I coudn't agree more. Now you should send your cooments and url to Z. Braff, or better yet his press agent. Then maybe he'll write a scathing, whiny-as-f*#k retort, and overnight LAist will become a household name. Remember when he did that when Garden State came out? He totally reamed a movie critice (from Australia maybe?) for a negative review of his precious "life-changing" movie. He is a whiny brat and it would be fun to get his scrubs in a rumple. And then you can reap the oh-so=sweet sweet free publicity!

Garden State was smart, sweet and simple and had an awesome soundtrack. He nailed it right on so many times over throughout that movie. I look forward to seeing this movie. If you can make a better movie that will speak to masses..ie..this movie's target audience (In this case boring white guys), you should!

kudos, i agree completely with mr. negative -- i thought 'garden state' was overrated and i'm tired of middle-class white guys getting to make self-indulgent movies about their dilemmas when all kinds of minorities' (class, race, just something other than the type that populates movies and tv) stories get overlooked.
