N.Y.'s Barcade Signs L.A. Lease, Slated For Potential Summer 2018 Opening

New York's beloved Barcade is finally coming west.

Barcade, which our sister site Gothamist describes as "the perfectly nostalgic bar with vintage arcade games hand-selected as carefully as the beer options" first opened in Williamsburg in 2004. The chain bills itself as "the original arcade bar" and now has seven locations on the Eastern seaboard, including three in New York, two in New Jersey, and Philly and New Haven outposts.

Barcade co-owner Paul Kermizian told LAist that they now have a lease in Highland Park. Construction remains "a long ways off," but if all goes well the team is hoping for a Summer 2018 opening.
