Who knew? Apparently there's some mutual admiration going on between Umami Burger and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, and the result is an edible collaboration: The Slash Burger.

We're told that Slash loves "savory and spicy" flavors, so his signature new burger is an Umami beef patty topped with braised shiitake mushrooms, caramelized onions, house American cheese, avocado spread, wasabi aioli and a Parmesan crisp.

Further proof that food is indeed the new rock, this isn't the end of the world (burger), or the expanding burger chain's first foray into the harmonious world of musicians and meat; previously they teamed up with Mayer Hawthorne to get his eponymous burger on the menu.

Slash is also not the only G N'R-er to have a documented love of burgers. Last year Axl Rose went on Jimmy Kimmel and made sure the audience had free burgers, but it was the day-after smack talk from Slash's wife that put forth the hypothesis Rose was too fond of chili burgers.

Rock rivalries notwithstanding, the Slash Burger will debut at Umami locations nationwide, and doubles as a fundraiser, with $1 from each $15 burger sale going to the L.A. Youth Network.
