The UCLA Undie Run - June 2007 Edition

yes thats right, actual ucla undie run undies

Earlier this month UCLA held their infamous Undie Run which has been completely covered by serveral indepth LAist photo essays (and out of fairness we even covered the USC Fountain Run).

This last Undie Run was bigger and even more successful, so therefore thanks to UCLA student and photographer Eric Kim, we are able to give you the biggest Undie Run photo essay ever.

Because of the nature of the content - scantily clad college kids running through Westwood and various campus fountains to celebrate the end of finals - what you may see after the jump is not safe for work.

Go Bruins...

Most people don't know that the Undie Run is an actual run. The kids literally haul ass around Westwood and through campus, so here are some pix of the kids running..

OK now, remember the wacky hat dude watching everyone come thru the tunnel, watch this little move he was making with the ladies...

Everything was safe thanks to the campus police, the Mexican wrestlers, and various superheroes

In life there always are winners and losers, but when undies are involved everyone wins...

Ah, yes . . . the USC fountain run . . .

Which was so lame that I ended up hitting all the fountains on my own as a late-night training run.

Fortunately, a small group of friends and I reprised the all-school run, and had a much better time. Thus, USC was saved from having the lamest end-of-finals ritual in town. But hey, at least our finals were over a month and a half ago.

Man who's thats scrawny Asian kid at the end

This is the UCLA run, correct?

It's insane for me to see these photos. The Undie Run began in my apartment in 2002. Five years later, 8,000 to 9,000 people. Are you kidding?

Here's the article I wrote last fall for UCLA Magazine about the Undie Run origins.

Reminds me of the 3 rules of naked:

1. There's good naked and bad naked.
2. There's more bad naked than good naked.
3. The bad naked are more likely to practice it.
